Development of a new horizontal hot box core shooter
Hagen, December 2009In cooperation with a well-known fittings manufacturer KLANN developed a new horizontal core shooter for the hot-box process based on their core belter technology. Compared to standard horizontal core shooters the new P8 SA has a machine cycle time of only 8 seconds (market standard > 15 sec.), a core box change within 5 minutes, integrated core box pre-heating device and simple machine cleaning thanks to easily removed cleaning inserts. After the first months of trial operation a 4-fold increase in productivity was apparent thanks to a higher core box occupancy rate, lower core box wear due to lower shooting pressures and lower intallation expenses. With this new generation of core shooters KLANN can grow its market leadership in the faucet/fitting industry by leaps and bounds.
